Football Fans
One of my favorite things about living in Pittsburgh are the sports. It reminds me of the awesome camaraderie I experienced in college being a Red Raider. So, of course I have totally jumped on the Steeler bandwagon. I am a HUGE fan and so is Caleb.
He's still a huge Jordon fan, thus loyal to the Lions, but it's fam, so I can't blame him. Fathead commercials did their job and persuaded Caleb to ask over and over for a life size picture of Jordon to put on his wall. I told him that would be too expensive, so he compromised and asked for the helmet instead.
Caleb loves Polamalu and dished out hugs and smiles.
after receiving miniature fatheads of 6 key Steelers.
I've really enjoyed the fun and bonding that football has brought to the family. It is so exciting watching my little guy work hard at something all on his own. He is already running routes and catching balls at 4. Impressive. It's such a joy watching daddy and brother play together. Even sissy will occasionally get in on the action,
but is always faithful to show her girly side, taking a dolly break.

Go Lions
We had such a fun time at the game even though the Lions lost. The fans were pretty brutal. This surprised me. I thought, if you are going to take time out of your schedule to go watch your team, win or lose you'd think they would cheer? But no, I think the majority of booing came from the weirdo who sat right in front of us. He absolutely annoyed the you know what out of me. I was about ready to give him an ear full, but he was a rather large guy and I didn't think Cory would appreciate a repeat of the movie scene from How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days.
We decided to put the kids in childcare, so we could actual watch. Caleb was a little bitter that he didn't get to enjoy some football. When we picked him up I was greeted by the cold shoulder followed by screaming and crying. Did I mention how nice it was to be kid free for a few hours.

Trick or Lion Treat
Barbie Musketeer and Jeff Gordon
For Halloween Aunt KayKay and Attie Jo came to town, so we thought it would be fun to head up to Detroit and spend the weekend with our cousin. Part of the weekend's fun included trick or treating at the Detroit Lions practice facility and getting candy from the players themselves.

In the mist of the big guys, my sweet little guy.

I really liked Louis Delmas. He was very engaging with the kiddos.
Our cousin's husband plays for the franchise and it really was an exciting treat to get to hang out with all these huge football players.

Jordon, Stafford, Caleb and Attie Jo
I definitely was made extremely aware of my age. Without their helmets they looked so young. I've always thought of my self as younger than the professional athletes. It really is amazing to me how mentally tough they are to handle this level of pressure at such a young age.

The kids were very excited to run the football all over the field.
